A new member of management here is pushing for our district to move its'
Netware (6.5 SP5) services to VMWare. The Novell services we run are
listed below. I would be interested in feedback from the forum if any of
these are "no go" or are problematic for a physical to virtual migration
using VMWare ESX.

-eDir 8.7
-GW 7 (Webmail, Post Offices, MTAs)
-Gee Whiz/GWAVA Anti-spam
-Zen 7 (App Delivery, Imaging, Workstation Inventory, WinPolicy
-Ichain 2.3
-Network Associates Anti-Virus
-Novell Remote Manager
-Novell Storage Manager (newer version of "File Sytem Factory")
-Identity Manager 2 (DirXML Engine that connects to remote loaders for
Notes and AD)

We do not have any clustering at the moment, but do plan to add some
Netware Clustering with our VMWare implementation.

We will be using Portlock Storage Manager to move from P-2-V and have
successfully tested this on a VMWare workstation/VMWare player deployment.

Any feedback on these items (negative, questioning or reassuring) would be
welcome! Thanks!
