I have made several post about my disappointment on the performance on a new
HP ML110 G3 2GB memory SATA RAID-1 server. I thought this would be a good
time to make the move to SCSI. I purchased 2 73 GB HDs and an Adaptec 29160
Raid controller.
From other posts I have read, it has been suggested to set up a separate
drive for the OS and put the data volumes on the RAID.
If this is correct (or best practice) should the OS drive be SCSI on will a
small IDE be ok? (I have server older 40gb IDE's laying around)

Can I add the OS and then later add the controller and drives?

I plan to have three data volumes. Should there be a single pool for the 3
volumes or a pool for each volume?

Thanks for the help,
