We are working with a school district using Cisco equipment and 5.1 is the
server environment. The WAN/LAN is a star topology using dark fiber at GB
speeds between switches.
The issue is that we recently picked one location and added a new 6.5
server in preparation for migration and hardware updating. Due to the fact
that the school would *like* to move to IP only (servers are currently
running IPX/IP) we instaled the 6.5 as IP only. Something is odd though as
we seem to have alot of difficulties accessing the new IP only server from
outside the local subnet and even within the subnet (physical building) we
have communications issues. Short of dropping IPX onto the system, is there
any idea as to why this is having an issue? The 6.5 is at SP3 and the 5.1
is at SP8.
