Hi

We have to tune our network/backup speed.

Facts:
- TSATEST localy on server we have from 3500MB/min (GW-Files) to 7000MB/min
(PC-Images)
- TSATEST from target server to destination server we have from 900MB/min to
1200MB/min, so LAN / TCPIP must be the bottle neck
- Target server: DL380 G3, 1GB ethernet copper, NW 6 SP5, Q57 8.65, driver
shows 1GB/full, TCP 6.10L, tuned with TID10093351
- Target server: DL380 G3, 1GB ethernet copper, NW 6.5 SP2, Q57 8.65, driver
shows 1GB/full, TCP 6.59J, tuned with TID10093351
- Connection:1Gbit Ethernet NIC onboard-- Cisco 6509 -- 10GB Fibre
Backbone -- Cisco 6509 -- 1Gbit Ethernet NIC onboard

- In http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/...ove_backup.pdf
they speak about 1TB / 3h = ~90MB/s = 5555MB/min with DL380, over LAN

- Goal: have a good stream for LTO3 Tape drive, witch streaming begins > 30
MB/s

Any suggestion ?

regards
Markus
