We have a 6.5 sp2 server that was exhibiting memory fragmentation issues.
It was upgraded to sp3 followed by OS3A and NSS3A. For the last three days
memory seems stable. However immediately post upgrade available cache

Pre upgrade the server which has 4GB of memory had atleast half of original
cache available. Now its about a third of the orginal remaining cache

The server has always used traditional volumes. We tuned NSS although not
used to lock it down to 400mb allocated for NSS cache. Never had to this
before and it just reduced available cache even further.

I have seen this issue posted / decribed in different ways in other parts
of the forum but no real answers as yet. Does anyone know why the huge
change post sp3.
