Inexperienced and lost, any help appreciated.

    Hi,

I had one OES server with an NSS volume located on one 250GB hard drive.
I removed the drive and reinstalled OES, it was a big mistake and a hasty
    inexperinced move.

I am now unable to access the pool or volume on this drive after I
reconnect it. I'm not sure what I have done but I believe from what I
gathered is that it was not deactivated before i removed it and so now it
    cant be read easily.

When I go to iManager and work with the volumes and such the drive is
recognized as a device and it tells me the name of the pool on that drive
and the status is listed as:in use.

I dont know how to get to the data on that disk even if I could just
mount the volume so i can read it on the server itself or another oes
server or linux computer or anything would be enough.

If it is not obvious I am quite inexperienced with OES and novell and am
not sure if this is even an appropriate post but I am with no where else
    to turn.

If anyone can help me at all I would so very much be appreciative, I had
every peice of data I considered important on there and I am afraid.

    thank you so very much.

According to your description it seems that this drive was the SYS
drive of your first OES installation. If OES did work in this
installation put this drive alone into a server and fire it up so your
first installation should start from the old drive.

If not, did you try to mount your volumes and activate your pools on
this volume. Does NSS tell you any errors, if you try to activate the
    pool or mount the volume?
