Yellow Circle with Question Mark on SYS volume?

This morning (Monday of course) I came in to a message from my NW6.5SP3
server saying it was nearly out of space on the SYS volume.

I discovered that for some reason BackupExec 9.1 backed up to the SYS
volume as "back up to disk" rather than to tape. Need to call Veritas.
So I corrected that problem, but in ConsoleOne Servername_SYS and
Servername_Admin are still showing up as yellow circles with a question
mark. Will this repair itself or do i need to do something?

    Hi Peter,

With SYS filling up your NDS was probably corrupted.
First thing you have to do after freeing up some space is do a Health Check
    as per
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...i?10060600.htm

If doing a dsrepair does not solve the problem, you can delete and recreate
the volume objects using these procedures.
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...?/10011981.htm
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...i?10088640.htm
But first make sure your NDS is healthy.

If you feel uncomfortable with this steps don't hesitate to ask.
Is this a single server ?
Before making any changes to the NDS make a backup through iManager - embox.
And you can make a NDS database dump with DSREPAIR -RC and copy this to
local workstation so that Novell can use this to restore NDS in case
    something goes wrong.

No it is not even the master, but it has all the User Home directories
    and "Document Control" on it.
    I'll give it a whirl.
    Thanks,

    PS:
Cannot get iManager running on this server, see my post in
administration tools about tomcat insufficient memory to create heap
    source.

    Peter:
Completed the Health Check Portion. The only problem I could see was i
    got was:
A sharing violation occured while accessing z:\system\dstrace.dbg.
went into NRM and close the file so I could read it. DSTace.dbg is
    attached.

DS is newer (10551.78 vs 10551.29) on this server than the others as it
is NW6.5 SP3 and the others are still at NW6.0SPx

Should I proceed to step 2?

Re: Yellow Circle with Question Mark on SYS volume?

    OK,
First try if you can find the volume object in one of the other servers.
On every server in the replica ring LOAD DSBROWSE -a and browse to the
    volume objects.
If you find a good object (object shows class Volume, not class Unknown) you
can resend it to the other servers. See:
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...i?10054705.htm
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/se...i?10067667.htm
And give some time to replicate.
