We have seen manufacturers indicating that a scsi and/or sata cage supports hot-swap drives. Can anyone enlighten me as to the implementation of this feature in Netware? Specifically, does this mean that a drive can simply be removed and replaced with another while the server is up and running? If a drive contains a data volume, I would imagine that the volume needs to be dis-mounted first. Are there netware drivers that are required that would turn off power to that drives specific slot prior to being able to remove it?

We are interested in using a sata drive and Arcserve for backup in a netware server, whereby we would remove and replace one drive with another. Is this even possible?

Thank you in advance for any light you might be able to shed on this.
