Can a SYS volume be reduced?

I accidentally EXPANDED a SYS volume instead of MIRRORING it. Now the
SYS volumes has 8.2 GB on the first disk and 8.2 GB on the second disk.
(for a total of 16.4GB total). The quota for SYS is still at 8.2GB.
There is only 5GB of SYS disk space being used.

I don't want SYS split across 2 disks like this!

Any thoughts? Is there any way to reduce or remove the expanded space?
