I'm trying to allow FTP access for a user and restrict them to their
home directory. When they login, they are dropped into their home
directory as specified in their NDS object. So far, so good.

I'm then trying to use the NOREMOTE access restriction to prevent them
from moving up the directory tree. When I have ".user.container ACCESS=
NOREMOTE", in the FTPREST.TXT file, they can still browse to directories
above their home directory. They can even browse to volumes/directories
where they don't even have file read or scan rights.

If I change the line to DENY, they cannot login, so I know the FTP
server is reading the restrictions file correctly.

Running on NW 6.5 SP4a.

Anyone seen this or know of a fix?
