Hi all,

Just after some comments/experience from others who have encountered the

I have been asked to look into mirroring volumes between SANs using NSS
mirroring - ie a single server connected to two geographically seperate
SANs via fibre. This server mounts an NSS volume for use for file storage
and also mirrors this volume to a second SAN.

In testing, the server took a huge performance hit while trying to
initialise the first full mirror, which is somewhat expected.

My question to you - how will this impact user performance post the first
initial complete mirror.

The scenario is basically a 1.2TB volume being used to house data shared by
1500 users

Customer is trying to do this on the cheap (hence, no hardware solution).

Any comments or like experience would be appreciated.
