I'm having some undesired effects with my snapshot rotation script.

I would want to use snapshots for easy restores and backups without open
file issues. I want to have the snapshot volumes mounted at all times.
This is my script:

---snipsnip--
mm snap deactivate snap1
mm snap deactivate snap2
mm snap deactivate snap3
mm snap deactivate snap4
mm snap deactivate snap5
# Delete the oldest snapshot
mm snap delete SNAP5

# Rotate snapshots
mm snap rename SNAP4 SNAP5
mm snap rename SNAP3 SNAP4
mm snap rename SNAP2 SNAP3
mm snap rename SNAP1 SNAP2

# Create new snapshot
mm snap create PROGRAMS SNAPSTORE SNAP1

#Activate all snapshots, mount all volumes
mm snap activate snap1
mm snap activate snap2
mm snap activate snap3
mm snap activate snap4
mm snap activate snap5
mount all
--snipsnip--

I want to run this every day and always be able to go back 5 days. This
works fine but i'm getting screwed up volume (volume/pool are named
PROGRAMS) names like CE3A4EB8RM3_AR, PROGRAMS_SV_AR, 8JJHTRDB8RM3_AR. I
would want them to be PROGRAMS_SV, PROGRAMS_SV001, PROGRAMS_SV002, ...
(the higher the numer the older the snapshot)

Creating, deleting, renaming etc... snapshots to troubleshoot this issue
also seemed to make the server unstable, i just got and abend after
running my little script a few times. What's up with snapshots? Should i
keep on trying or just leave them be?

I'm using NW6.5SP5, no other stuff installed on this box.

greets,
Wouter
