Hi all,

I'm pricing new servers to replace out current two. My main concern is the lack of quick availability of SCSI components, and the price per/GB, when compared to SATA.

Any drawbacks to taking SATA over SCSI? Noticeable hit in access time? Unreliable (I've had several failures with our SCSI HDD's though, so I'm not all that trusting)?

We will be using NSS and NetWare 6.x for the foreseeable future, and the current servers are dual Athlon MP 2000 boxes with 2GB RAM each. I think the most intensive application we run is GroupWise, other then that it's just basic file and print sharing.
