What is the maximum file specification length on a traditional volume in
Netware 6.5?

I have a user that has managed to create a file of the following file spec:
"\\Daybrite-is\VOL1\APPS\Adept.Wrk\whunter\William
Hunter1\OldVersions\ATTUNE SCONCE 11 X 24 - DIFFUSER LIFT - 2CFL revised
110806 4in diffuser.0006.i"

The file is actually supposed to be called this:
"\\Daybrite-is\VOL1\APPS\Adept.Wrk\whunter\William
Hunter1\OldVersions\ATTUNE SCONCE 11 X 24 - DIFFUSER LIFT - 2CFL revised
110806 4in diffuser.0006.iam"

As you can see, the last two characters were chopped off. The file is not
readable and Netware will not let me delete it. Obviously, I will need to
run VREPAIR.

Am I hitting a limitation of Netware traditional volumes and is that why
I'm seeing this corruption?

If this is a limitation, is it the same with a NSS volume?

Or, should I just club the user over the head and tell him to stop being so
descriptive in his file names?
