Hey everyone. We had a problem with a RAID 5 setup a while back that
caused some corruption and the corruption still lingering around. We've
done multiple pool rebuilds and we dont get any errors the logs for
that, but every now and then we'll get an error that says "an i/o error
has compromised pool integrity" and one of the pools unmounts itself.
Sometimes there is no error msg, it just goes offline. After I get the
error msg at the server console I can do a nss /volumes and its fine.
If I try nss /pools the server locks up. Either way, I have to restart
the server to get everything back working again. Sometimes it happens
multiple times throughout the day, sometimes not. Also, we cannot do
backups because when Veritas OFO unloads it causes the above error also.
Lately though, we have kept BackupExec unloaded so we dont have [more]
problems throughout the day. Its a NW 6.5 SP6.

Heres a snippet from nss.log. We had problems last wednesday (march 7th):

Any help is appreciated. Right now we are really close to copying all
the data off the server and rebuilding it completly. This would be a
huge job since VOL1 holds about 300 GB of data.

Thanks-
