I have a problem that has been uncrackable so far and thought I'd pick
the brains here. Let me give you the particulars:.

Netware 6 server, client running WinXP SP2 fully patched, Novell client
4.91 SP1. Everything is fine except when attempting to print from a
financial program called ProSeries. It crashes the Windows Print Spooler
when you click PRINT, you never get to the next dialogue box.

After much mucking around, it seems to be directly related to the Novell
client. When I uninstall Novell completely and try to print, it works
fine. Also, we have another user with basically the same setup running
client 4.90 SP2 who can print from ProSeries just fine. When the user
gets the spool crash it generates an event in Event Viewer:

"Faulting application spoolsv.exe, version 5.1.600.2180, faulting module
ndppnt.dll, version, fault address 0x00008de8."

Let me run down what I've done so far, some things at the request of tech
support for ProSeries and none of which took care of the problem:

1. Uninstalled, reinstalled the Novell client. I've also upgraded teh
client to 4.91 SP2. I've also downgraded it to 4.90 and 4.90 SP2.

2. Uninstalled and reinstalled ProSeries.

3. Changed the default printer. Tried several.

4. Ran Defrag and chkdsk /r.

5. Repair install of Windows.

6. Ran SFC, no files needed replacing.

That's all I can recall at the moment, I've been working on this since
yesterday. As I said, if I take of the Novell client (thus removing that
ndppnt.dll file) all is well with printing from ProSeries.

I'm about ready to pull my hair out! Any and all suggestions would be
greatly appreciated!

Thank you
