Anyone know if NWGINA supports retrieval of the defaultpassword if the
password is stored as an LSA Secret? I wrote an autologon utility that
implements the LSAStorePrivateData WinAPI function. I want to initiate a
workstation only login using the LSA Secret version of the defaultpassword.
When MSGINA is the default gina, it will first check for the
DefaultPassword in the LSA Secrets. If it doesn't find it, it then looks
for the plain-text version in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. NWGINA doesn't seem to work this way.

I thought about using the msgina for the autologon, then launch
loginw32.exe from the startup menu, but I want users to have their own
Windows profiles and not share the autologon profile.

I thought about writing a custom gina or ginastub, but that's alot of work.
