I've been noticing a problem lately with both the 4.91 SP1 & SP2 clients
where if I right click on a shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu
that it takes nearly 15 seconds to get the menu where I can select
properties, delete, rename, etc. A friend suggested that I disable SLP in
the protocol preferences tab, and sure enough with only NDS and DNS
configured the slowness goes away. Reenable SLP, and the slowness
returns. What's interesting, too, is that once I've experienced this
"pause" I can right click on other shortcuts and they're fine. Only seems
to be the first one I do when the machine initially boots up or if the
machine has been idle for a while. I haven't tested logging out and back
in to see if that has any effect.

Anyways, I've run slpinfo /all on the client and it appears all the SLP
stuff I'm pushing out via DHCP is being received by the client including
the two DAs. I've also verified that those DAs are running. The two
servers are NetWare 6.5 (OES) SP5.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep SLP enabled without causing
this weird pausing problem?
