Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this but..

We have this extremely weird fault.

When copying files from our Netware 6.5 server to our sharepoint document
library using drag and drop (through the web browser), most files

give the error:

Cannot copy (filename): Invalid ms-dos function.

Copy the file to any netware drive, drag that copy to Sharepoint, same
Copy the file to a workstation drive, drag that copy to Sharepoint, same
Copy the file to a floppy disk, drag that copy to Sharepoint, same error.

The only way to fix it is to open the file in it's related application,
choose SAVE AS (SAVE makes no difference)

and save it as a new file (anywhere) - it will then copy perfectly.

If you compare the "saved as" version to the original (using fc in
command prompt): no differences encountered.

Both files have identical attributes.

It is not a Netware rights issue or sharepoint rights issue as I have
Admin rights over both systems.

If I create a new file on the netware box (a new spreadsheet or
whatever), this will copy perfectly - it only

seems to affect files that have been around for a while.

Compression is not enabled on the Netware volumes.

I can copy any file to sharepoint successfully using the "Upload
Document" option within Sharepoint "All Documents" view.

Note that these files will copy normally to all other file systems - this
only happens when dragging the files into Sharepoint running on Internet

Any ideas?
