After installing 491SP3 (and post SP3 updates) on a number of PCs, we
noted it was taking almost 45 seconds to log in. Ran a WireShark trace
and noted the client was first trying to resolve the tree name with DNS
and finally used SLP (as it should) after DNS failed. Removing DNS as one
of the "Protocol Preferences" fixed the problem. Never had this issue
with previous clients so I assume something got changed as far as the
order of protocols used for name resolution.
