I'm having trouble with a Dell Poweredge 2900 running Windows Server 2003
(32 bit) SP2 and the Novell Client 4.91 SP3.

Specifically, the machine loses its connection to our Netware servers
while copying files to and from it. The file copy progress move very very
slowly, and eventually I get the error "The specified network name is no
longer available."

The server has no problem copying files to and from other Windows servers.
I've tried new cables and switch ports.

I believe the problem may lie in the way the Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5708C
NIC works. It uses a "Virtual Bus Device" architecture - installing what
looks like a series of two separate drivers to make the NIC work. I
suspect this messes with the IP stack on the machine and/or the way the
Novell client accesses the network.

Has anyone had this problem before, and how did you address it?
