First time post so if I firget sometthing, please ask and I will try to
answer as best as I can.
We are a software manufacturer and we are seeing the following problem
with the Novell Beta Client for Windows Vista. If our program is run from
a persistently mapped drive whether it is a Novell or Microsoft Server the
program works fine. But if we allow the Novell login script to map the
drive the program cannot see the drive mapping from a Vista workstation
with User Account Control turned on. The only workaround that we have at
this time is to map the drive manually through Windows and tell it to
"Reconnect at logon" or use a Windows script that is using the
"/Persistent:Yes" flag. It does nto appear to matter what version of
Novell is on the server. We always have file caching turned off on the
workstations. Has anyone else ran into this type of problem? Does anyone
know how to persistently map a drive with a Novell login script. I looked
through the help file and guides but do not see any reference to a
persistent mapping. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
