This suggests the command the script is tring to run is not in the
path for the owner of the process ncs-resourced.py (i.e. root). You may
also need to explicitly set DISPLAY in order to run a graphics program from
a load script. Not related to this problem, you will also need to
backgroundany long running program started from a load script, if that program
does not daemonize itself. e.g. kcalc &

Hi there

using OES I would like to open a program plus terminal through a
cluster
load script, but this is not possible. Even a simple test app like
kcalc or
others won't open. After consulting /var/log/messages (where are
the
detailed cluster logs?), it seems to be a problem of missing
rights.

Error message:
"output: /etc/opt/novell/ncs/kcalc.load: line 2: exit_on_error:
command
not found Warning: This program is an suid-root program or is being
run
by the root user. The full text of the error or warning message cannot

be safely formatted in this environment. You may get a more
descriptive
message by running the program as a non-root user or by removing the
suid bit on the executable."

Running kcalc without load script does not cause any problem (being =logged
on as root or even admin). It seems somehow the cluster load script =does
not have root privilege or prevents external commands from being executed.
The cluster volume resource goes online ok.

Current load script:
#!/bin/bash
.. /opt/novell/ncs/lib/ncsfuncs
/opt/kde3/bin/kcalc
exit 0

The resource goes online, but kcalc is not loaded and not visible in
ps -e.
Instead, it appears the error message stated above.

Please please help help !!
