Hi, I have a 2 node cluster (hp msa1000). Everytime I install a service
pack the servers would not see the SBD partition unless I put back the
QL2300.ham driver and CPQSHD.cdm from the original SP1. With SP4a this
did not work. So at the moment I have one node with SP3 and POST patches
on which can see the cluster and one node with SP4a which cannot see the
cluster, I get:

CLUSTER-<INFO>-<6135>: Searching for SBD partition...
CLUSTER-<INFO>-<6135>: Searching for SBD partition...
CLUSTER-<INFO>-<6135>: Searching for SBD partition...
CLUSTER-<INFO>-<6135>: Searching for SBD partition...
CLUSTER-<FATAL>-<6022>: There is NO SBD Partition required by the
cluster !!!

Please run " SBD install " to create SBD Partition

It then continues to load the cluster screen and stays loaded but not
connected. If you then go back to the prompt screen, you get:

CLUSTER-<INFO>-<12033>: joining...
CLUSTER-<FATAL>-<12038>: SBD has reported a fatal error

Something else to note as well is that since the SP4a upgrade it has
taken out the "CPQSHD.cdm" file from the startup.ncf and if I put this
back in the server abends after it loads the QL2300 and the SRCRX (not
sure which one it abends on I just know that as soon as the server has
loaded those files it ABENDS immediately). I have just noticed
that "QLCSFTE.CDM is also missing from the startup.ncf but I have not
added this to the startup.ncf yet. Maybe the "CPQSHD.CDM" needs this?

SOmehting else to note is I attempted to do the upgrade to SP4a and it
appeared to go smoothly. I told the server that once the service pack
upgrade was completed to reboot itself. Once the copying had finished it
tried to reboot itself and crashed. The server just hung at the blue
nwconfig screen saying it was rebooting. I then turned it off and
allowed it to reboot. The people from the Netware 6.5 forum adviced to
do a down server upgrade. This might be why the files from above where
missing (I have never done a down service pack upgrade before). Thinking
back the reason it was probably crashing is because of the "CPQSHD.CDM".
Although the server is fine and I do not think it is corrupt but maybe
the down server upgrade has taken somehting out that needs to be there.

The error messages I am getting are exactly the same as I am used to and
I normally just copy over the older drivers as mentioned before.

I would appreciate any help with this as I do not know what to do next.

Many thanks in advance.
