Now we have a simple 2 node cluster and we're planning to upgrade it to
three-nodes. This implies to buy (2) fiber switches to place it between
cluster nodes and our IBM DS4300. And of course a Novell cluster
license. Anyone can tell me how expensive is the later? :) (in € currency)
Since I'm new to SAN switching I'm wondering if, after properly
configuring the switches, the servers will see the devices the same way
at it was when they we are directly attached. I mean... No changes in
device names, luns, etc..
And I need some advice: IBM sells two lines of entry levels SAN
switches: The "B" line seems to be rebranded Brocade switches, while the
"M" lines are McData. Do you got personal preferences on either ones?
