Anybody want to provide some thoughts / feedback on using EVMS on each
Cluster Node's system device (re: system volume / partitions) when you
have a SAN that will actually hold your NSS volumes...

>From what I understand if we have our cluster nodes setup with a RAID

1 array on an embedded SCSI controller and then we setup our NSS
partitioned shared storage (including SBD partitions) on an external
SAN device, we have no need to setup a /boot partition on the system
array and use EVMS to manage the partitions.

As I understand it we can manage the server's internal array with LVM
and the shared storage with EVMS since they're on two physically
separate devices.

Any thoughts / concerns with this method? I'd been reading through
the forums and that seems to be what people are suggesting.

Thanks in Advance.
