    iFolder 3.0 for Netware 6.5 ????

Does anyone know if Novel plans on releasing iFolder 3.0 that will support
    Netware 6.5?

To do so, they would have to port MONO to Netware. Not sure if they want
    to spend that effort.

At some point during BS2005 we were told mono would be supported on netware,
heck it was supposed to be in nw65sp3 even....but this tells a different
    story - http://www.mono-project.com/Netware

Mono is dependent on NetWare gaining the unix/linux
fork function - last I heard was that this is still work in
    progress.

Its NOT going to happen, Novell is NOT commited enough
Its backing the wrong horse - Liniux! instead of Netware

Netware is DEAD because Novell has pulled out all the stops on Linux
but ist not READY yet, is it ??

Reminds me of someone going into Iraq without planning for what comes next.
Novell has been there before with DRDOS / Unix!!

NetWare is alive and has the full backing of Novell's support
and service teams. As Novell has already indicated there is
not going to be any major enhancements to allow NetWare to
take advantage of new technologies, such as 64bit address
spaces. This does mean that NetWare will have a limited
future, but that is more about future sales rather than any issues
about systems currently installed and operating.

As for Linux being ready, the only issue it has had as a platform
in the last few years has been the lack of network based services
and the lack of a major player with the channel support to
provide customers with the support they need. This is exactly what
Novell now brings to Linux with OES.

I have no plans to rip and replace my NetWare servers as they are
stable and working, but the majority of new systems I am currently
    installing are SUSE Linux based.

    iFolder 3.0 for Netware 6.5 ????

I heard from Novell as of yesterday, a December release of ifolder 3.0 for
Netware. Just hope it is still in the works.

Anyone else heard this? - not that I don't believe you, but I can wait until
December for 3.0 on NetWare rather than take the Linux plunge. Nothing
against linux but I have enough going on now without having to learn linux
to install iFolder for Mac support.
