I have an test/pilot system iFolder v3 server with a problem.
The server is in a test lab, which lost power last night, so the server
and it's storage went down hard.

When the power was restored the server and storage came back online.
However, the iFolder server has stopped responding to logins. When
clients attempt to login they get:

"An error was encountered while connecting to the iFolder server. Please
verify the information entered and try again. If the problem persists,
please contact your network administrator."

When I try to go to https://ifolder.server.dns.or.ip/ifolder, I receive
the expected login prompt. However, trying to authenticate results in
the following error:

"Information: Your session has been closed. Please log in."

Having seen these symptoms in the past being caused by Mono being hung,
I stopped apache2, and looked for remaining mono processes. There were
not any.

I then tried to check the system via iManager. When I try to
authenticate to the iFolder system via iManager, I receive a "An
internal error has occurred.", A few lines from the "Details" are:

AxisFault faultCode: {http://xml.apache.org/axis/}HTTP faultSubcode:
faultString: (500)Internal Server Error faultActor: faultNode:

file:///var/lib/wwwrun/.local/share/simias/Simias.config Line 1, position 1.

I then tried the
https://ifolder.server.dns.or.ip/sim...inService.asmx page and
get the following error (truncated below, I can paste the full text if
desired):

Server error in '/simias10' application
Description: Error processing request.
Error Message: HTTP 500.
Stack Trace:
System.Xml.XmlException: Document element did not appear.
file:///var/lib/wwwrun/.local/share/simias/Simias.config Line 1, position 1.

The error /var/lib/wwwrun/.local/share/simias/Simias.config Line 1,
position 1 appeared in both places. I took a look at that file, it was
modified last night at 23:17, approximately the time of the power
outage. I tried to read the file with a text editor and the file
appears empty, but it is 2,175 bytes. When I edit the contents of the
file via NoRM, it again appears empty.

The question I have is is this file typical between different iFolder
servers? e.g. could I bring up a new server and safely copy the file
from the new to the existing server? Or is there a better way to
recover from this problem?

Thanks,
Jeff
