I am already on 1.5 (works with edir 8.6 also) and the helpdesk role
just
comes with things like create user, change password. To delete print
jobs
with imanager (as far as I know) requires that you be part of the
Manage
Printer Role, once you do that, you are Supervisor for any SCOPE you
set.

Which means, we have to create a printers OU everywhere to segment off
the
printers so that we can go back to using imanager for the helpdesk to
delete
print jobs.

No, when you upgrade to 8.7 you can install the new version of
imanager.
It
has a greatly expanded set of roles, including a Helpdesk role.
