Hi,

I have a HP LJ 5si w/ HP JetD400N (new) with a static address:
192.168.1.205 manually entered into the printer.
I have 2 subnets being routed by a NW6.5sp1 box (which is the 5si's
gateway). The subnets are 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.0.0.
iPrint is running on the 6.5 box - the broker is on the 1.0 subnet, where
the printer is.
Several other printers are configured in iPrint and functioning normally.
I have added the 5si objects in iPrint appropriately.

The change:
I moved the 5si from the 0.0 subnet to the 1.0 subnet and now it only
prints via tcpip "local port" from workstations on the 0.0 network (its old
subnet!).

To test:
I sent a print job from a computer on the 0.0 subnet to the printer via
tcpip local port, and it worked.
I sent a print job from a computer on the 1.0 subnet via tcpip local port,
and it did NOT work.
I sent a print job from a computer on the 1.0 subnet via IPP (after adding
the iPrint printer object to the w/s) and it did NOT work.

Observations:
From the workstation on the 1.0 subnet, the print job looks like it works
exactly as it should. OK
In iManager, the printer agent information for the printer adds one count
to the "Jobs Printed Since". OK

Notes:
The 5si has an envelope feeder attachment.
There is a "retiring" NW6.0 box on the 0.0 subnet, that used to have NDPS
manager running, but doesn't anymore.
There are no printers left on the 0.0 subnet; they got moved already. This
5si is the hold-out!

It looks to me like the job gets sent to the jetdirect, but nothing happens
to the printer, or the job gets sent to the print manager and fails to be
sent to the jetdirect.

I need answers!! Who can help me?
