I've had a real problem with printers suddenly not printing with no
visible cause. The chief symptom of this is visible in the Portal under
Manager Status. The print-agent in question will have a negative number
in the "requests" column.

This is sometimes accompanied by a host of other messages, but not often
enough to really gain associations.

This is running some pretty new code, though.
