I have about 200 printers/printer agents on my
NetWare 6.5 SP3, NDPS/iPrint print server.

Since I don't control all the printers directly
I have heard that some people are turning off their
printers in the middle of the night. Then what I
find out is that they need the printer agent
stopped/started in the morning. It seems that
the NDPS manager will stop communicating with
the printer and never try to establish comms
again when the printer has been off for a
certain length of time. A simple stop/start
of the PA resolves the issue for the moment,
but it would seem to me that NDPS would want
to keep retrying the connection every so often.
This does not appear to be happening in my

Anyone else see this problem?
Anyone know how to fix it?
