Hi,

I have two NW 6.5 SP3 servers in a cluster. I want to remove IPX from
the machines and go pure IP. I removed IPX from one machine and
rebooted. It came up fine, and communication was fine. I then tried to
migrate the NDPS resource from the server that still had IPX to the
server that is IP only now. When I did this, I got the following error
in a big red box:

ndpsm-3.01-895
IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, specified at load time, is not bound.

However, the IP address is bound. I looked at the server that the
resource was on, and it says the secondary IP was deleted. On the
server it was trying to load on it says the secondary IP was added. The
broker loads fine, and the NDPSM looks like it starts to try to load,
then gives the error. When I loaded the resource on the first server
again (with IPX), it came back up fine. Help! Thank you!!

Here's what I removed from my autoexec.ncf to get rid of IPX:
SERVERID 0903
LOAD IPXRTR
LOAD IPXRTRNM
BIND IPX B57_1_EII NET=0906
LOAD SPXS

Here's what I changed in BTI.CFG:
Supported Protocols=TCPIP (Removed SPX)
Listen IP Address=xxx.xx.xxx.yyy (Added physical node IP address)

Here's what my HOSTS file looks like for the NDPS resource:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx doss-cluster_ndps NDPS_SERVER DOSS-NDPS

Here's my cluster load script for NDPS:
nss /poolactivate=NDPS
mount NDPS VOLID=248
CLUSTER CVSBIND ADD DOSS-NDPS xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
NUDP ADD DOSS-NDPS xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
add secondary ipaddress xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

nss /transaction=NDPS
LOAD BROKER "DOSS_BROKER.StuServ" /ALLOWDUP
delay 30
LOAD NDPSM "DOSS NDPS MANAGER" /DBVOLUME=NOCHECK
/IPADDRESS=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Here's my cluster unload script for NDPS:
unload ndpsm
unload broker

del secondary ipaddress xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
NUDP DEL DOSS-NDPS xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
CLUSTER CVSBIND DEL DOSS-NDPS xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
nss /pooldeactivate=NDPS /overridetype=question
