For starters, I'm a newbie when it comes to iprint and linux in
general. That being said, I am working on a project for a school
district that wants to implement iprint (on OES Linux) for all their
users, student and staff. I've set it up and it works great for users
that have local admin rights. The problem is when regular domain users
(student computers) try to install the client and printers, it of
course doesn't work. They don't want to give the students rights to
install anything for obvious reasons. I don't know what to tell them.
I can't think of any way around this. They can't be the first school
district to run into this problem. Any help or suggestions would be
much appreciated.
