NetWare 6.5
Novell Client 4.91 SP2
iPrint Client 4.15

I work with state government, and I recently got a call from a Network
Administrator at another agency regarding a problem removing iPrint printers
from their client machines. It turns out that they made a change to their
network which precipitated a change in IP addressing. Consequently, they
had to reconfigure their iPrint printers with the new IP addresses.

Unfortunately, when they did this, they gave the "new" printers the same
names as the "old" printers, and then used a workstation policy package to
roll out the printers. The workstation policy package has the "Remove any
installed iPrint printer that is not included on this list of printers"
option checked. But because they gave the "new" printers the same names as
the "old" printers, that option appears to be seeing all the printers as the
same, and thus the "old" printers are not getting removed from the client

We've tried to solve this problem by creating a NAL application that deletes
the printers in the Windows registry. I didn't create the NAL app, but it
looks like it was created with Snapshot. The Net Admin that I am working
with tells me that the application runs, but it fails to remove the
printers. I checked the Availability options on the NAL app, and there is
nothing that would prevent it from taking action.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how to get the old
printers deleted from the client machines?
