My apologies for not replying on this.

"Owner" is set by using ConsoleOne to get properties on a specific
folder on
a Netware volume.

I did find the answer to my problem. 1) I got rid of the "nosharing"
when
loading afptcp.nlm and 2) I made the the one person a trustee who
needed the
ability to change file folder/views. Not sure if this will help
everyone but
worked for me.....
