If you are running a BOMA (Branch Office) server ignore this.

I ran into this problem the other day and $540.00 later it's now
fixed.
Since I hadn't seen this problem on the list, I thought I would share
it
with everybody.

After a reboot of my server my Mac users started getting a Failed
Login
error. They could not login using their simple password or using
their NDS
password if AFPTCP was loaded with the CLEARTEXT option. Here is what
the
sys:\etc\AFPTCP.LOG file showed.

This part is normal

Wed Oct 9 19:19:24 2002

Long story short. If your AFPTCP.LOG file starts to display
'AFPTCP.NLM is
running in BOMA mode', then your server registry is possibly corrupt.
This
is what you need to do to correct it.

1. Make a list of all custom environment settings.
2. Down your server
3. Make backup copies of all the C:\nwserver\servcfg.* files.
4. Delete all of the C:\nwserver\servcfg.*
5. Reboot the server
6. Restore any of your custom environment settings and reboot if
necessary

Hope this helps somebody.
