I'm not sure how to even ask this question because I'm not a
Unix/Linux
person but, I installed NFAP for NFS on a test server. NFS
components
are up and running, I created my export per the instructions in the
manual on the CD with Netware 6...it's pretty minimal information but
I
followed it to the letter and had no issues. In my hosts for the
export
I included the IP address of a Unix box I want be able to access the
export with....so then from that particular unix box our web folks
tried
to hit the server but can't. They have a browser based utility that
lets them scan for anything that would 'seem' to be advertising like
an
NFS based file system, they also tried to hit the IP address of my
test
server directly but alas, could not find the box or see anything on
it.
They can ping it but that's all....

Question: I don't know much about their utility but I'd like to
simplify the testing if I can. What is the easiest way to 'prove'
that
NFS is working...are there some diagnostic tips? As simple as the
manual makes set up appear to be, I feel pretty certain that we are
not
providing the correct creditials or something from the Unix box that
we
are trying to test from but I know so little about it I can't really
assist.
