Well, I thought I posted this, but can't find it.

Trying to set up NFAP for MACs on a 2-server 6.5 new upgrade.
Have managed (in a previous life) to change the ADMIN password to a
simple
password. Admin can login from a MAC using NFAP. Simple password was
set
offsite prior to bringing machine on-site and joining the production
tree.
I am unable, however, now that I've joined the production tree, to set
the
simple password for any other user in the tree. Hence, no MACs can
login.

From iManager, I go to the user object, select Simple Password, and
enter
the password. At "apply", the response is "Error saving simple
password in
eDir. The returned error code is 1681."
1681 is a NMAS E Transport error -- "a transport callback routine was
not
provided to the NMAS client."

The MAC clients just get a "wrong password" error if they try to
login.

I've applied TID 10068092.
This server has a R/W rep.
Other TIDs don't match this error code.
I don't have a clue on this one. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
Jeff.
