After implementing Universal passwords and password self service, CIFS on my
NW6 servers stopped working. We can access the NW6.5 servers just fine. We
patched the NW6 servers to SP4 and all have edir 8.7.3. NMAS is at 2.3.3,
and NICI is at 2.6.4

I have run a pkidiag on all servers without errors. I have resynced treekeys
with SDIDIAG and all looks good.

When we try to access one of the NW6 servers the trace screen shows the
following:
30: Create NMAS Session
30: RemoteCheckIfLocalUser checking rrolling.OU=mis.OU=ash.O=sonopress.
30: RemoteCheckIfLocalUser is a local user.

The 1663 error shows itself plainly which says its a nmas client issue. We
have reinstalled the nmas client on multiple machines without any luck.

When we do an NMAS REFRESHPOLICY on the nw6 servers it shows this nmas
trace:

NMAS Login Policy Refresh Finished

We have insured that the Login Policy in the Security container has the
defined login sequence for lsmcifs and shows lsmcifs in the slected login
methods box. We have updated the method for lsmcifs and the Method Number
shows as 34. Is this right?

Any ideas on what is going on?

Thank you!
Ryan
