We've had a problem here with NT workstations accessing an NFAP/CIFS drive
and not being able to save Word docs - there's an "out of memory or disk
space" message and all that's saved is a garbled .tmp file. I've tried the
post SP nss patch A and B and they don't fix, but I've found it works fine
on servers that have NW6.5 SP3 installed - the updated CIFS files seem to
have sorted the issue.

Unfortunately SP3 is only installed in our test tree, and we're not yet
ready to roll it out in production. Meanwhile a number of users are
struggling with this Word docs issue. Is there any way I can extract just
the relevant cifs files from the service pack and install them to an SP2
machine, or are there dependencies on upgraded NSS nlms etc?
