I am currently running on a new DELL PowerEdge 2850 with NetWare 6.5 SP3. I

Below is my configuration..

VOLUMES:

A: -> - BIOS Device
C: -> NWLOCALVOL - [V371-A1-D0:0] PERC LD 0 RAID5 rev:516A
2 local FAT volumes mounted

Mounted Volumes Name Spaces Flags
SYS DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS
_ADMIN DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS P
DEV DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS
STAGE DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS

4 volumes mounted

/ETC/EXPORTS:

"/dev -deny -ro=hldev,root
/stage -deny -ro=hlstage,root"

/ETC/NFS.CFG:

"NDS_ACCESS=1
NIS_CLIENT_ACCESS=0
SEARCH_ROOT=OU=CB.OU=HL.O=UT,"

On the linux side I am simply calling the server name at a test mount point.

"mount hlcbnwweb1:/stage /test"

This takes about 30 minutes to complete (really)
After this though, the server is fairly responsive and I can copy files
from the volume at a somewhat reasonable rate. I am not certain what is
causing this. I gave the NFAUWorld rights explicitly to both volumes, I
also verified that NFAUUser is OK. I even deleted the user and ran
schinst -n -w
To the same end. Any ideas on why this might be happening would be greatly
appreciated!

Let me know if any more information is required.

Thanks,

Benjamin Goodrich
