I have a 2 node NW 6.5 SP6 cluster, all available patches are applied. I
am exporting the Home volume via NFS, using independent mode (because
nwmode doesn't work at all for me). When the cluster is on node1 and a
user creates a file, the owner is set to Supervisor. When the cluster is
on node2 and a user creates a file, the owner is set to NFAUUser.

Now, when the owner of the file is Supervisor, all is fine, trustees
still allow the user to work with the file and all appears good no
matter how the user is accessing the file.

When the owner of the file is NFAUUser, the user can no longer modify
the file via NFS. Access to the file works just fine on machines with
the Novell Client, but not via NFS.

Any thoughts as to why 2 nodes (exact same hardware, installed and
updated the same) would be setting different file owners?

Thanks.
