    Synching Chinese laptop

The company has an employee in China. The employee in China speaks and
reads Chinese and his laptop is set up to read Chinese Characters. The
home office is in the US and uses standard UTF fonts. Currently, the
laptop for this employee in China is synchronizing to an iFolders server
    here in the US.

To me, it seems logical that he can do this without any modifications on
our part, so long as the PC we restore to (in the event a restore is
needed) has the Chinese fonts on it. If we download to a US PC, we will
    most likely see gibberish.

Am I thinking correctly on this? Is this the way it would work or do we
need to install an additional font set on the iFolders server?

    Thanks.

    Sue B.

I think you are correct. The data is synched to the iFolder server as a
bunch of files, and I don't think there is use or need to put a different
character set on the iFolder server itself (unless you were using the
iFolder server as a client to view the files).
