We are running a 5.1 network and just beginning to migrate from IPX to

IP. The servers and clients are currently running IP and IPX. We can

connect using IP if we specify an address for the clients, but we
can't
seem to connect using DHCP services (no IP address is assigned and an
IPX
connection results).

We have configured DHCP but have not configured DNS (DNS not
loaded)
We have configured DHCP, defined a subnet and created a subnet
address
range and loaded DHCPSRVR

Any thoughts on what we missed?
Do you need DNS to run DHCP?
Does DHCP make sense for a network of 2 servers and 40 clients?

thanks
