If dhcp clients across a WAN link need to get DHCP addresses from a
server on the other side of the WAN link, what are our options?

We have a router on the same side of the WAN as the DHCP server. Can
it be setup with a DHCP helper that can send requests out across the
WAN to those clients? Or does there need to be a router on the other
side of the WAN running a DHCP helper in order for those clients to
get DHCP leases?
