We have DNS set up for internal use only. We have our primary DNS
zone
called oneidanation.org and about 20 secondary zones set up with
cnames
pointing to the primary zone. We had a consultant come in and tell us
to
name our zones XXXX.oneidanation.org. Now we are having problems
pinging
about 8 sites because the zone name of xxxx.oneidanation.org is the
same
as the resource record xxxx under the primary zone of
oneidanation.org.
Are there any considerations to take into effect when naming zones or
can
we basically name them anything? I am not clear as to why we put the

domain name in our zone name. Thanks
