I have an internal DNS server used only for internal lookups running on a
NW6.5 SP1a server.
As the server has no access to external DNS servers nor does it need to I
cleared out all forward lookup servers. I loaded named.nlm with -dl +2 to
get the verbose log. Even though the DNS server has nowhere to lookup
anything it doesn't already know about there are still lines in the log like
the following:

Jun 08 11:45:19.000 resolver: dns/resolver: debug 1: createfetch:
www.fileplanet.com A
Jun 08 11:45:19.000 resolver: dns/resolver: debug 1: createfetch:
mx2.hotmail.com A
Jun 08 11:45:19.000 resolver: dns/resolver: debug 1: createfetch:
mx2.hotmail.com A

Does this mean it's compiling a DNS request of it's own or simply trying to
make sense of incoming requests?
Can Novell DNS be configured to just not react to requests for anything that
it doesn't directly know about?

I hope this makes some kind of sense.
