We still have a handful of Windows 98/ME machine that have not been
mothballed. We recently replaced our old server with a new server running
6.5 and now 98/ME machines are not getting DHCP addresses issued
properly. They are running client 3.4 with service pack 2. This problem,
to the best of our testing only effect these OS's. Has anyone had this
problem or know of a way to fix it? I have tried release/renew and get
the same results. The only way we have got around it is to assign a
static address.
