We are having the problem alluded to in various posts about not being
able to send email to aol.com. The error message indicates that we do
not have a PTR record. We did change ISPs and therefore public IP
addresses in mid-late January, so I wonder if that isn't part of the
issue.

I have tried to figure out how to set one up and created one, but it
doesn't seem to work.

Here is a brief sketch of our situation with the PTR that I created.
Can anyone help me?

Server1
private IP 10.10.1.2
dns server

Server2
private IP 10.10.1.1
public IP x.x.196.90
not a dns server

In the DNS/DNCP program, we have 4 zones expanded below:
10.10(10.10.in-addr.arpa)
@ server1.ourdomain.com (NS record)
1.1 server2.ourdomain.com (PTR record)
2.1 server1.ourdomain.com (PTR record)

x.x.196.90 (90.196.x.x.in-addr.arpa)
@ server1.ourdomain.com (NS record)
server2.ourdomain.com (PTR record)

ourdomain.com
@ server1.ourdomain.com (NS record)
server1 10.10.1.2 (A record)
server2 10.10.1.1 (A record)
x.x.196.90 (A record)

RootServerInfo
A.Root-servers.net
..
DNSRoot
..
..
M.Root-servers.net and DNSRoot

Thanks for any assistance.
